US Energy and Climate Policy: Actors and Trends in August 2009

US energy policy is structured completely differently from energy policy in Germany, both in terms of the division of responsibilities and positioning of the executive and legislative government bodies as well as in terms of the federal level’s scope for influence. The influence groups as well as the political bodies are structured differently, and the interlinkage of policy fields follows a different logic. The publication briefly discusses the constellations and developments since President Obama took office and assesses their significance for German climate and energy policy positioning.

Please note that the publication is only available in German.
