Project Background
On behalf of WWF Germany, Arepo prepared a short report including the latest figures on lignite consumption in selected countries. The short report deals with the status of the coal industry in Germany (resources, use, jobs) as well as the state of the lignite industry worldwide (reserves and consumption in selected countries). In addition, it describes historical milestones in the expansion and decline of German coal production and highlights current key developments in lignite mining worldwide.
Type and scope of services
Arepo analyzed current data, summarized them in a short report and created illustrative graphics to illustrate the results.
