Katharina von Pannwitz contributes her expertise in the areas of energy transition and international climate policy. Before joining Arepo, Katharina von Pannwitz worked at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) at IKI Small Grants, where she deepened her practical expertise in project management and climate finance instruments. As a research assistant, she also helped develop the sustainability strategy of the University of Bayreuth and was responsible for its recertification as a Fair Trade University.
After completing her Master of Public Policy at the Hertie School of Governance, where she dealt intensively with the topics of climate justice, climate finance and energy markets, she now brings her knowledge and practical experience to the consultancy. Her Master’s thesis, which dealt with ecosystem-based adaptation, is particularly noteworthy and distinguishes her as an expert in environmentally friendly and resilient development strategies. Prior to this, she graduated from Bayreuth with a B.Sc. in Economics and spent time abroad at LUISS in Rome and UNTREF in Buenos Aires.
