Working at Arepo

Good work requires the right conditions. At Arepo, we aim to create a working environment that combines professional responsibility with flexibility, autonomy, and the realities of different lives.

Family and Career

For us, being family-friendly means above all making it possible to combine professional development with family responsibilities. We know that childcare and other care arrangements are not always predictable, and that people’s needs change over the course of their lives. We therefore try to find pragmatic, individual solutions when it comes to working hours, working from home, and project organization. What matters to us is not being present at particular times, but the quality of the work, reliability within the team, and good collaboration.

Gender

Gender equality is an important issue for us both in our professional work and as an organization. Arepo is a women-led company, founded and managed by Dr. Christine Wörlen, and women make up a large proportion of our team. This means that women at Arepo are not only represented, but play a major role in shaping our professional work, decision-making processes, and the development of the company. We value a working culture in which responsibility, professional development, and opportunities to shape our work are accessible regardless of gender. Different perspectives should not simply be taken into account, but should have a genuine influence on decisions and collaboration.

Flexible Working

Our work is project-based and thrives on exchange and collaboration. At the same time, it is important to us that employees have the flexibility to organize their working day in a way that works for them. Working from home is therefore a natural part of the way we work. We offer particularly generous work-from-home arrangements for parents, helping them to balance professional demands and family responsibilities as effectively as possible. We also take a flexible approach to working hours. Generous part-time arrangements allow employees to adapt their working hours to different stages of life and individual needs.

Collaboration on Equal Terms

Arepo is a small team with short lines of communication. Employees take on responsibility early, contribute their own ideas, and actively help shape projects and internal processes. At the same time, we believe that flexibility should not come at the expense of collaboration. Trust, reliability, and mutual support are therefore central to the way we work. Our aim is to provide a working environment in which challenging and rewarding professional work can be successfully combined with a fulfilling life outside of work.
