The proposed study will draw from the practical experience of the CIF (mainly CTF), along with GEF and GCF, to investigate various aspects of synergy and complementary among these funds. The focus of the study is descriptive and based on evidence from the ground; the study does not make an explicit attempt to prescribe the roles of the different multilateral climate funds in the future international climate finance architecture.
