The Green Climate Fund’s Readiness and Preparatory Support Programme (RPSP) aims to strengthen the institutional capacities of National Designated Authorities, Focal Points, Accredited Direct Access Entities, and organizations seeking accreditation, enabling them to prioritize, develop, and implement country-driven strategies and interventions for low-emission and climate-resilient development.
Arepo evaluated the outcomes and impact-level results of the RPSP and focused on five key criteria: relevance, effectiveness, coherence, impact, and sustainability. The evaluation of the RPSP served two key purposes: to ensure accountability by assessing the portfolio’s outcomes and impacts against the indicators of the newly adopted Readiness Results Management Framework (RRMF), and to generate insights for improving the effectiveness and operationalization of the RPSP.
