Project Background
Arepo was contracted by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to carry out the central project evaluation of the project Sustainable and climate-friendly basic energy services (ProENERGIE). GIZ implemented the project on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and in close cooperation with the Togolese Ministry of Mines. The aim of the ProENERGIE project was to support national stakeholders (AT2ER and the Directorate-General for Energy) in improving the conditions for a decentralized and climate-friendly basic energy supply.
Tasks
Arepo evaluated the project on behalf of GIZ. A mixed-methods approach was used in the evaluation. A significant part of this evaluation was linked to on-site research. The project evaluation consisted of a detailed analysis according to the OECD-DAC criteria.
