Background
The IKI Secretariat at Zukunft – Umwelt – Gesellschaft (ZUG) gGmbH has commissioned Arepo to conduct an interim evaluation of the IKI project “Thai-German Cooperation on Energy, Mobility and Climate.” This project is being implemented by a consortium of several project partners under the leadership of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH. The main objective of the project is to enable key stakeholders in Thailand to plan and implement measures for transforming the energy, transport, biomass, and industry sectors. To achieve this goal, the project supports the energy transition through technology and knowledge transfer. In addition, models for politics, public authorities, and business are being developed. City Labs are also being set up to provide local stakeholders with expert knowledge and advice. Finally, the project provides comprehensive support in the area of climate finance.
Tasks
Arepo evaluates the project based on the OECD-DAC criteria. Workshops with the various components of the project are held to reconstruct the impact logic. Data is collected by analyzing project documents, conducting interviews with project stakeholders, conducting an online survey, and visiting the project on-site.
