Project background
For countries to develop and implement effective climate action in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement, they need climate data and information. The International Climate Transparency Initiative ICAT provides targeted support and practical tools and methodologies for building a robust transparency framework to around 50 countries in the Global South. These can relate to mitigation, adaptation, NDC implementation, impact of policies, greenhouse gas projections, just transition, climate data systems or climate finance.
Aufgaben im Projekt
The Arepo team carries out an interim evaluation of ICAT’s work and the impact achieved to date and makes recommendations for future work. This includes conducting country studies and an online survey, analyzing documents and conducting interviews with various stakeholders. The focus of this independent external evaluation is on the second phase of ICAT (2021 to date).
