Project Background
WWF Germany commissioned Arepo to evaluate the “Multi-Actor Partnerships for 100% Renewable Energy for All in the Global South” project that aims to accelerate the transition to 100% renewable energy (RE) in Nepal, Uganda, and Vietnam. The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) funded the project, and a consortium of ten partners implemented it. The project’s central objective was to establish multi-actor partnerships in all three countries, i.e., platforms for collaboration between governments, civil society, businesses, and other stakeholders to advance the transition to renewable energy.
Tasks
Arepo conducted semi-structured interviews with all consortium partners, political partners in each project country, and consultants responsible for the modelling activities. Arepo also designed and implemented an online survey with the members of the multi-actor partnership platforms.
