At Arepo, Melina Thomsen primarily works on national and international climate protection projects.
She gained practical experience in the field of climate policy through her internship at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action in Berlin, as a working student at a Bremen-based startup, and most recently as a Junior Consultant at C2C NGO Berlin, where she focused on the topic of circular economy. She is particularly interested in the socially just implementation of climate protection.
Melina Thomsen completed her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at the University of Bremen. During her studies, she spent a semester at Mid Sweden University in Sundsvall, Sweden. In her free time, she has been involved in providing support for disadvantaged and homeless people and participating in the climate justice movement for several years. Additionally, she is politically active on various levels.
She is fluent in English and has good knowledge of French and Danish.
