Sustainability is not only the focus of our work; it is also a standard we apply to our own actions. That is why, in our day-to-day office life, our mobility, and the way we work together, we aim to use resources consciously and take both environmental and social responsibility.
Using Resources Responsibly
We source office supplies and equipment as sustainably as possible and use furniture and technical devices for as long as we can. From notepads to business cards, we use recycled paper without exception, print as little as possible, avoid unnecessary waste, and use electricity from renewable sources. Any waste that is still generated in the office is, of course, separated for recycling. We also consider environmental criteria when it comes to food and catering, with a preference for organic and plant-based options—for example, oat milk overtook cow’s milk in popularity a long time ago.
Climate-Friendly Travel
Arepo covers the cost of the Deutschlandticket for our employees. Business travel within Germany and to neighboring countries is generally undertaken by train. We try to avoid air travel, although it is not always possible to do so for international projects. Wherever possible, we combine trips and appointments to reduce the amount of travel required and the associated emissions.
Improving Step by Step
We see sustainability as an ongoing process. We regularly review and refine the way we work, with the aim of reducing our environmental footprint and creating responsible working conditions.
