The RPSP aims to strengthen the institutional capacities of National Designated Authorities (NDAs), Focal Points (FPs), Accredited Direct Access Entities (DAEs), and organizations seeking accreditation, enabling them to prioritize, develop, and implement country-driven strategies and interventions for low-emission and climate-resilient development.<br>Since its launch more than six years ago, the RPSP has supported over 600 grants, with a total funding volume of USD 457 million across more than 140 countries.<br>The evaluation of the RPSP served two key purposes: to ensure accountability by assessing the portfolio\u2019s outcomes and impacts against the indicators of the newly adopted Readiness Results Management Framework (RRMF), and to generate insights for improving the effectiveness and operationalization of the RPSP. With these objectives, the evaluation was both summative and formative. To that end, Arepo assessed the achievements of the RPSP portfolio in relation to the RRMF outcome and impact indicators and identified lessons learned and best practices for achieving impactful results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">TYPE AND SCOPE OF SERVICE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this classical institutional portfolio analysis with a focus on outcomes and impacts, information from various sources was brought together to inform the findings, lessons learned, and recommendations.<br>The evaluation was guided by the five main OECD DAC criteria: relevance to countries\u2019 climate readiness needs; effectiveness in achieving the outcomes and impacts defined in the RRMF; coherence within the RPSP portfolio and with readiness support provided by other organizations; impact in terms of enhanced resource mobilization; and the sustainability of readiness support over the long term.<br>Arepo collaborated with local consultants who carried out field visits, while a peer review
