{"id":6171,"date":"2022-09-07T12:37:08","date_gmt":"2022-09-07T12:37:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arepoconsult.com\/?post_type=arepo_prjct&#038;p=6171"},"modified":"2022-09-07T12:37:09","modified_gmt":"2022-09-07T12:37:09","slug":"mid-term-evaluation-of-the-ndc-transport-initiative-asia","status":"publish","type":"arepo_prjct","link":"https:\/\/arepoconsult.com\/en\/projects\/mid-term-evaluation-of-the-ndc-transport-initiative-asia\/","title":{"rendered":"Mid-term evaluation of the NDC Transport Initiative Asia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>PROJECT BACKGROUND<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IKI office at Zukunft &#8211; Umwelt &#8211; Gesellschaft (ZUG) gGmbH has commissioned Arepo to conduct a mid-term evaluation of the IKI project &#8220;NDC Transport Initiative Asia&#8221;, which is currently being implemented by a project consortium led by the Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. Project partners are the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT), the World Resources Institute (WRI), the International Transport Forum (ITF), Agora Verkehrswende, the Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT) Foundation and the Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st Century e.V. (REN21). The BMU promotes the project approach of defining the decarbonisation of transport in China, India and Vietnam within the framework of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), i.e. in the international commitments of the contracting parties within the framework of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>TYPE AND SCOPE OF SERVICES<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A significant part of this evaluation involved on-site research in India, Vietnam, and China. The project was evaluated using the evaluation criteria derived from the OECD-DAC criteria, which relate to the thematic areas of relevance, planning\/control and coherence, effectiveness, and transformative impact and sustainability.
