Project Background<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Impact Evaluation of GEF projects concerning climate change mitigation included the country portfolios of China, Mexico, Russia and India. The evaluation analyzed the multi methodological approach of the GEF and provided support in order to improve the mitigation portfolio. The basis of the evaluation consisted of 18 completed and fully evaluated projects. They covered various sectors e.g. renewable energy, energy efficiency, or methane emission reductions. A special aspect of this evaluation was that most projects were revisited significant time after their implementation. This allowed for interesting assessment of the barrier removal and market transformation impact of the GEF-funded programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Type and scope of services<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
