Nora Schlagenwerth is an expert of international climate policy. She supports the team in the evaluation of the German Energy Solutions Initiative and the International Climate Initiative (IKI).
Before joining Arepo, Nora Schlagenwerth worked as a student assistant at the think tank adelphi in the field of international climate policy. She gained further experience as an intern at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) in the Department for International Climate Protection and at the German Permanent Mission in Geneva, where she worked in the fields of development and health. As a student assistant in public relations at the Institute for Ecological Economy Research (IÖW), Nora Schlagenwerth mainly supported the organisation of large and small events. During an internship at the NGO Germanwatch, she worked in a project on renewable energies in the MENA region.
Nora Schlagenwerth holds a master’s degree in political science from the Free University of Berlin. She completed her bachelor’s degree in politics and law at the University of Münster. During her bachelor’s degree, Nora studied for one semester at the Latvijas Universitāte in Riga.
