Sarah Rieseberg joined Arepo Consult in 2011 and is project manager. 

Key components of her work are industrial energy usage and emissions, energy levies and taxes, carbon leakage, aspects of international climate politics and energy scenarios.

Previously Sarah worked at the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) in the "Energy Strategy & Energy Scenario Unit”. Among her responsibilities was the coordination of the Agency with the the international Research Network "Low Carbon Society Research Network" and in this function she coordinated the annual research conference 2010 in Berlin.

Sarah is an expert in energy policy and energy scenarios: she conducted the programming of the "Energy Scenario Software" - software for the Federal Environment Agency to run scenarios for the German Energy System.

Sarah received a Bachelor's degree in international politics from the University of Maastricht and completed her studies in environmental policy at King's College London with a Master thesis on "innovation barriers of renewable energies – a case study on German offshore wind energy".

After living several years outside of Germany, e.g. in the Netherlands, Hong Kong and the UK, she has excellent writting and communication skills in English.
