Project Background
The project “Promotion and Transfer of Marine Current Exploitation Technology in China and South-East Asia (Pilot Plants)” implemented by UNIDO promoted a vertical axis marine current turbine technology to produce renewable energy in China and South-East Asia. The evaluation report focused on a project on this marine current turbine technology in Indonesia.
Type and scope of services
Since problems with effective project implementation had existed for some years, the main purpose of the evaluation was to assess the current situation and options for possible solutions that would help to lead to a completion of the project. The evaluation thus identified lessons to be learned with a forward-looking approach.
